The Hour Of Lead, 2026, Video, 10:30 min

A short film portraying three young girls who gather at the Duchess's library in Weimar to teach the artist German pronunciation. Word by word, they rehearse a translation of Emily Dickinson's "After Great Pain" - a poem about trauma, grief, and loss. What begins as a language lesson turns into a performance: the children become a choir, singing the artist's original musical composition of the poem. As the lines between teaching and learning blur, the children guide an adult through the landscape of sorrow, capturing how we carry and process pain in our lives. The project was realized as part of an artist residency program in Weimar, Germany, in collaboration with the local community (production team, musicians, and children).
